Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider responsible for the supply, delivery, and assembly of boardroom chairs at ATNS Head Office. The successful bidder will ensure the provision of ergonomic, certified chairs that meet specified standards, with immediate delivery and installation, supporting ATNS’s operational needs.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of 100 certified mesh backrest boardroom chairs with adjustable headrests and lumbar support.
• Supply of 25 executive boardroom chairs with premium PU leather finish and enhanced cushioning.
• Delivery and assembly of all chairs at ATNS Head Office.
• Provision of proof of compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.
• Adherence to delivery timelines and social responsibility requirements across the product lifecycle.

Technical Requirements

The chairs must meet the following specifications:

• Certified ergonomic design with mesh backrest, adjustable headrest, and lumbar support.
• Mechanism: Synchro 100.
• Premium PU leather finish for executive chairs.
• Dimensions: Height 113-123cm, Width 68cm, Depth 68cm, Gas lift: Class 4, Base size: 350mm.
• Delivery must be immediate, at the provider’s own risk and cost, to the designated ATNS Head Office address.
• Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with environmental standards (e.g., sourcing from recycled/renewable sources, low VOC glues, non-toxic materials), safety standards (e.g., SANS 1288, SANS 10005), and legal acts (e.g., National Environmental Management Act, Forests Act).
• Proof of environmental responsibility, quality standards, warranty (minimum 10 years), and manufacturer’s datasheets are required.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

The service provider must:

• Have proven experience in supplying, delivering, and assembling office furniture, supported by reference letters from previous clients (minimum of two recent projects within 5 years).
• Demonstrate capacity to execute the delivery comprehensively, including logistics, installation, and post-installation support.
• Ensure staff are skilled, qualified, and able to perform assembly and installation to high standards.
• Maintain sufficient staffing levels to meet service levels and system performance requirements.
• Adhere to all relevant standards, legislation (e.g., OHS Act, SANS standards), and environmental regulations.
• Provide safety equipment for staff and ensure safe working practices on-site.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of ATNS assets and information throughout the process.
