Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider or providers to form part of the marketing panel at Joburg Market. The appointed service providers will support the organization in strengthening its market presence, enhancing brand visibility, and ensuring consistent and impactful communication across various platforms. The panel aims to facilitate activities such as content creation, media engagement, branding, event management, digital marketing, and corporate communication to promote Joburg Market effectively over a period of 36 months.

Scope

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

• Content development for online, radio, TV, and print media
• Securing interviews on national and community platforms
• Design, production, and delivery of branding materials (banners, gazebos, flags, etc.)
• Supply of branded promotional items (gifts, stationery, apparel, etc.)
• Organization of exhibitions, activations, and conference participation
• Graphic design for social media, reports, and corporate documents
• Media buying, planning, and placement across various platforms
• Event management including venue sourcing, staging, and catering
• Video and photography production
• Social media management and content creation
• Media monitoring, analysis, and reporting
• Design and installation of signage
• Brand strategy development and stakeholder perception surveys
• Development of corporate communication materials (brochures, newsletters, etc.)
• Digital marketing campaigns and paid online advertising
• Crisis communication, training, and workshops
• Support for exhibitions and trade fairs

The activities are to be executed on an as-and-when-required basis over the 36-month contract period.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of qualified and experienced personnel, with CVs and relevant qualifications
• Compliance with administrative and legal documentation, including tax clearance, B-BBEE certificates, municipal accounts, and registration on the Central Supplier Database
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the bid documents, including quality standards and packing requirements
• Implementation of brand development, media planning, and campaign management as specified
• Provision of media monitoring, reporting, and analysis tools
• Delivery of signage, branding, and promotional materials in accordance with Joburg Market standards
• Compliance with confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and data protection policies
• Provision of contingency plans for crisis communication and risk mitigation

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in marketing, branding, and communications, demonstrated through reference letters and project portfolios
• Skills in content creation, graphic design, video production, and social media management
• Expertise in media buying, planning, and placement across multiple platforms
• Event management skills, including logistics, staging, and vendor coordination
• Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple concurrent activities
• Ability to develop and implement strategic brand and communication plans
• Knowledge of local and national media landscapes, including vernacular languages for targeted communities
• Technical proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics, and reporting software
• Understanding of legal and administrative compliance related to public sector procurement and communication activities
