Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply catering services for the staff of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF). The successful bidder will provide catering for the NFVF management team and department of Sport, Art and Culture, specifically for an event scheduled on 24 July 2026 at the NFVF offices in Houghton.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of catering services for a total of twenty-five (25) staff members on a specified date. The services encompass:

• Preparation and delivery of breakfast, including sandwich platters, croissants, scones or muffins, tea, coffee, and bottled water.
• Provision of lunch, including starch, meats, vegetables, salads, soft drinks, juice, and bottled water.

The venue for the catering is the NFVF headquarters located at 87 Central Street, Houghton.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• The catering must meet the menu specifications outlined for breakfast and lunch.
• All administrative documents, including signed forms and signed Service Level Agreements (SLA), must be duly completed and submitted.
• All items listed in the specifications must be provided as per the menu and schedule.
• Suppliers must comply with procurement regulations, including the Preferential Procurement Regulation of 2022 for quotations exceeding R2000.00.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in providing catering services for corporate or institutional clients.
• Ability to prepare and deliver the specified menu items within the stipulated timeframe.
• Compliance with health, safety, and quality standards applicable to catering services.
• Provision of proof of relevant certifications, such as B-BBEE certificates, company registration, and proof of previous relevant experience.
• Capacity to handle the logistics of catering for 25 staff members on the event date.
