Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider responsible for purchasing technical equipment for SABC Auckland Park. The successful bidder will facilitate the disposal of unserviceable, redundant, dilapidated, or obsolete assets currently on site, ensuring proper asset management and updating of the asset register.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Disposal of various assets that are unserviceable or obsolete at SABC Auckland Park.
• Working with SABC staff to compile a register of assets removed.
• Ensuring assets are removed from the asset register post-disposal.
• Providing a simple guarantee that data will be formatted appropriately.
• Transaction to be at no cost to SABC.
• Preference for a service provider willing to take the entire lot of assets.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Asset verification and physical inspection on site.
• Collaboration with SABC staff to identify and remove assets.
• Proper formatting of data related to assets.
• Compilation of a comprehensive asset removal register.
• Disposal process that ensures assets are removed from the asset register and properly documented.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in asset disposal and management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with SABC staff.
• Technical capability to handle asset data formatting and register compilation.
• Compliance with BBBEE requirements, including full completion of sworn affidavits.
• Valid registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Clear understanding of asset verification, disposal procedures, and data management.
