Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to undertake a research project titled "Identification of Implementable Early Flag Indicators in Screening Audiometry to Prevent Occupational Noise-induced Hearing Loss (ONIHL) in the South African Mining Industry (SAMi)." The research aims to develop early warning indicators that can be implemented to prevent hearing loss caused by occupational noise exposure.

Scope

The scope includes conducting comprehensive research to identify early flag indicators in screening audiometry, developing methodologies, and delivering actionable outcomes. The project encompasses literature review, methodology design, data collection and analysis, and the transfer of research findings for implementation within the mining industry. It also involves stakeholder engagement, reporting, and dissemination of results.
