The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitable service provider for the calibration of sound level meters to ensure compliance with legislative standards and support the Health Department's environmental health services. The calibration aims to maintain the accuracy and reliability of sound measurement equipment used in health-related assessments and inspections.
The scope includes providing calibration services for sound level meters in accordance with international standards (IEC 61672-1), ensuring traceability to national or international measurement standards. The service provider must be accredited by SANAS, fully insured, and capable of collecting and returning equipment from all seven regional offices of the City of Johannesburg. The calibration must be performed annually, and all work must adhere to specified standards and safety regulations.
