Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified hygiene service provider to install hygiene dispensers and deliver hygiene services at SALGA's National Office in Menlyn Corporate Park, Pretoria, for a period of twenty-four (24) months. The goal is to ensure the offices are maintained in a clean, healthy, safe, and satisfactory condition, supporting a hygienic working environment for staff and visitors.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of weekly hygiene services across the SALGA National Office premises, which spans approximately 3,174 square meters over three floors.
• Installation and maintenance of various hygiene equipment and dispensers, including liquid soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, hand sanitiser dispensers (electronic and foot-operated), dustbins, toilet and urinal sanitisers, toilet roll holders, and pest control services quarterly.
• Provision of trained and competent personnel equipped with appropriate uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to regulatory standards.
• Compilation of health and safety documentation, including site files, certificates, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Provide evidence of capability to supply and install specified hygiene equipment, including quantities and types as detailed in the specifications.
• Ensure personnel are trained, professional, and presentable, with company-branded name tags.
• Have at least five (5) years of experience in providing hygiene services, with references from at least three (3) clients serviced in the past five years.
• Maintain a satisfactory record of hygiene solutions compliant with national HACCP standards and possess a well-developed distribution infrastructure.
• Meet mandatory criteria such as Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) accreditation or equivalent.
• Prepare and submit a comprehensive health and safety site file within 14 days of contract award, including relevant certificates and risk assessments.

Skills Requirements

The skills and competencies required for the service provider include:

• Experienced and trained hygiene operations personnel capable of delivering weekly services effectively.
• Ability to install, maintain, and supply hygiene equipment as specified.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards applicable to hygiene services.
• Capacity to provide prompt and reliable service, supported by a robust distribution network.
• Compliance with corporate aesthetics and professional appearance of staff.
