The plan aims to ensure continued compliance with Chapter 3 of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), strengthen environmental governance, coordination, and planning across provincial departments and municipalities, and incorporate recent policy and legislative developments. • Engaging with provincial, municipal, and national stakeholders through targeted consultations and workshops.
  • Developing the 4th Edition EIP, aligned with legislative requirements, current policies, and identified gaps.
  • Facilitating a public participation process, including workshops and public notices, to gather input and objections.
  • Preparing and submitting draft and final EIP documents for approval and gazetting.
  • Providing regular progress reports and managing project timelines over a 12-month period.

Technical Requirements

  • Adherence to Chapter 3 of NEMA and relevant environmental legislation and policies.
  • Comprehensive review and analysis of existing plans, reports, and legislative frameworks.

  • Facilitation of stakeholder workshops and intergovernmental coordination meetings.
  • Preparation of a Project Implementation and Management Plan within six weeks of appointment.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing the EIP document, ensuring it is gazette-ready.
  • Implementation of a transparent public participation process, including workshops and notices.
  • Provision of all data, reports, and supporting documentation in electronic formats, with ownership retained by the Department.

Joint Ventures, Consortia and Subcontracting:

Most large tenders are composed of tasks in a number of different fields, and it is not always possible for a single company to cater for all of them, and therefore Joint Ventures and Consortia are formed to then submit a tender together.

Government tenders are also requiring the subcontracting of a percentage of the tender work, and the trouble is then finding Subcontractors to comply with the tender requirements

To assist companies with finding tender partners and subcontractors, you can now submit your contact details and company information on this page, so other interested parties can contact you for purposes of forming Joint Ventures and subcontracting

You will need to supply your details on every tender you are interested in tendering for. For this you need an active Business Listing - Register and Login at My Account to create a Business Listing

NOTE: This is not a tender application form, it is meant to facilitate the meeting of partners to form a Joint Venture or Subcontractor relationship for this tender only
