Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to undertake a professional assessment of the existing borehole at Ncome Museum. The assessment aims to determine the borehole's current condition, viability for rehabilitation, and whether it can be restored to operational status or if a new borehole needs to be drilled. The outcome will be a comprehensive report with findings, conclusions, and recommendations for the most appropriate remedial action.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Conducting a single site visit to Ncome Museum.
• Performing investigations to assess the borehole's condition, including equipment accessibility, functionality, and water-bearing capacity.
• Assessing the borehole's water potential through pump testing, water level measurements, borehole camera inspections, or other suitable methods.
• Providing a detailed technical report within seven (7) calendar days post-visit, covering:
• Infrastructure status and challenges.
• Assessment of the borehole, including costs for rehabilitation or abandonment.
• Scope of works and indicative budget estimates for drilling and commissioning a new borehole if needed.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the assessment include:

• A comprehensive site investigation of the existing borehole.
• Assessment of borehole equipment and water yield potential.
• Water level measurements and pump testing.
• Borehole camera inspections or equivalent investigations.
• Preparation of a detailed technical report with findings, challenges, and cost estimates.

Skills Requirements

Interested service providers must demonstrate:

• Experience in borehole drilling, rehabilitation, maintenance, and groundwater investigations.
• Provision of at least three (3) similar projects completed within the past five years.
• Relevant professional registrations, certifications, or accreditations, such as CIDB grading of CE1 and ME1 or higher.
• Compliance with legal and safety standards, including submission of COIDA certificates.
