Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Bearing 208 from qualified suppliers. The process aims to ensure the acquisition of high-quality bearings that meet specified standards, supporting operational needs and ensuring reliability and efficiency in the relevant applications.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of Bearing 208, with specifications covering brands such as SKF, TIMKEM, NSK, NTN, FAG, and THK. A total of 5 units are required, and suppliers must provide manufacturer datasheets and ensure all submissions adhere to specified formats and requirements. The scope also encompasses compliance with procurement policies and submission procedures.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of Bearing 208 conforming to specified brands (SKF, TIMKEM, NSK, NTN, FAG, THK).
• Attach manufacturer datasheet for the bearing.
• All quotes must be submitted in PDF format; MS Word, Excel, or pictures are not allowed.
• Suppliers must provide the original valid tax clearance certificate, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, municipal rates clearance, signed declarations (MBD forms), proof of CSD registration, and other specified documents.
• All quotations should be inclusive of applicable taxes.

Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of procurement procedures and compliance with Johannesburg Water’s supply chain policies.
• Ability to prepare and submit detailed technical quotations with manufacturer datasheets.
• Familiarity with the use of the E-tender portal for submission, including login procedures and document uploads.
• Understanding of privacy and data protection regulations under POPIA, ensuring confidentiality of personal and company information.
• Competence in completing and submitting various mandatory forms such as MBD 4, 6.1, 8, 9, and 9, demonstrating compliance with legal and procurement standards.
