Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is for the Border Management Authority (BMA) to establish a panel of qualified service providers with the capacity to supply and deliver office furniture. This panel will serve for a period of 36 months and will cover the BMA Head Office as well as various Ports of Entry across South Africa and neighboring regions.

Scope

The scope of work includes the supply and delivery of a comprehensive range of office furniture and related items, which may include:

• Office desks and chairs
• Reception furniture
• Storage units such as cupboards, cabinets, shelving, safes
• Other furniture-related items required by the BMA

The appointed panel will be responsible for fulfilling RFQs issued to them, covering multiple locations including the Head Office in Centurion, various regional offices, border posts, airports, and ports of entry across South Africa and neighboring countries.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of office furniture that meets specified specifications and standards outlined in the bid documents.
• Ability to supply and deliver furniture within agreed timeframes.
• Compliance with quality standards and specifications detailed in Annexure C (Terms of Reference).
• Provision of related incidental services such as installation, commissioning, technical assistance, and training.
• Adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards applicable to the supply and delivery process.
• Compliance with tax and legal requirements, including registration on the Central Suppliers Database and tax clearance.

Skills and Capacity Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in supplying office furniture, supported by at least five reference letters from previous clients, including project descriptions, dates, and authorized signatures.
• Capability to supply a wide range of furniture items across multiple locations and regions.
• Financial stability and compliance with tax and legal obligations.
• Ability to meet delivery deadlines and quality standards.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and adherence to bidding and contractual conditions.
• Capacity to handle logistics, installation, and after-sales support.
