Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified cleaning service provider to deliver comprehensive cleaning and hygiene services at the GPAA Cape Town office for a period of twelve (12) months, from November 2025 to October 2026. The service aims to maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment by providing all necessary materials, equipment, and labor, adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of all cleaning materials, equipment, and labor for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning activities.
• Cleaning of floors (carpet and tile), walls, glass surfaces, fittings, and fixtures.
• Sanitizing and disinfecting of toilets, restrooms, and ablution facilities twice daily.
• Vacuum cleaning of rugs and carpets twice daily.
• Washing dishes and kitchen cleaning three times daily.
• Cleaning of reception, entrance areas, and boardrooms daily.
• Deep cleaning of toilets and ablution facilities monthly.
• Polishing desks, furniture, and office equipment weekly and monthly.
• Disposal of waste and provision of sanitary bins with fortnightly servicing.
• Pest control services bi-monthly.

The service provider must ensure equipment maintenance, timely repairs, and replacement of defective items within 24 hours. The cleaning activities are to be performed at the specified premises located at 4th floor Buitengracht Centre, Cape Town.

Technical Requirements

• Use of approved cleaning chemicals and equipment, including universal cleaners, disinfectants, carpet and window cleaners, and hand hygiene products.
• Adherence to safety regulations to prevent injuries and accidents.
• Provision of all consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and waste disposal bins.
• Regular cleaning schedules as specified: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-monthly tasks.
• Proper disposal of waste and maintenance of hygiene standards.
• Provision of pest control services at scheduled intervals.
• Reporting and prompt resolution of equipment faults or damages.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified cleaning personnel with experience in commercial cleaning services.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating tasks.
