Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to outsource a service provider capable of supplying and operating six (6) luxury buses, each with a seating capacity of 60, to facilitate transportation for the Military Health Training Formation and related activities. The service includes transportation for specific events such as Armed Forces Day in Thohoyandou, with provisions for within-district shuttle services, and return trips to Pretoria, ensuring safe, reliable, and comfortable travel for military personnel.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of six (6) 60-seater luxury buses with specified features (ergonomic seats, AV systems, USB ports, climate control, luggage bays, window blinds, etc.).
• Provision of drivers, fuel, maintenance, parking, and accommodation for the duration of the service period.
• Transportation schedule includes departure from Pretoria on 13 February 2026, intra-district shuttle services from 14 to 21 February 2026, and return to Pretoria on 22 February 2026.
• Operational within the Vembe district, with daily travel averaging approximately 150 km.

Technical Requirements

The buses must meet the following specifications:

• Minimum seating capacity of 60 seats per bus.
• Wide, reclining seats upholstered in leather or premium cloth, with ample legroom.
• Integrated audio-visual systems with multiple flat-screen TVs and high-quality sound systems.
• Individual USB charging ports and/or power outlets for all passengers.
• Powerful multi-zone climate control (air conditioning and heating) with individual vents.
• Spacious overhead compartments and large under-floor luggage bays.
• Window curtains or blinds, personal reading lights, and ambient LED lighting.

Additional operational requirements include:

• Provision for own drivers, fuel, maintenance, parking, and accommodation.
• Timely departure and arrival schedules as specified.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in providing luxury bus transportation services to military or government entities.
• Qualified and licensed drivers with good safety and conduct records.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and operational schedules.
• Capacity to manage logistics related to fuel, maintenance, and accommodation arrangements.
• Compliance with all legal, safety, and security standards applicable to passenger transport services.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate within a military or government operational environment.
