Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure customised building, fleet, and office contents insurance services for South African Tourism over a period of 36 months. The aim is to secure comprehensive insurance coverage and brokerage services that meet the specific needs of SAT, including policy schedules, claims handling, and value-added services, ensuring protection of assets and efficient claims processes throughout the contract duration.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of customised insurance cover for buildings, fleet, and office contents based on official asset registers.
• Brokerage services for public liability, business property, plant, machinery, fixtures, installations, contents, portable equipment, and vehicles.
• Coverage period spanning from 1 February 2026 to 31 January 2029, divided into three annual terms.
• Compliance with relevant codes of conduct, membership with industry bodies, and adherence to financial advisory standards.
• Monthly review of insurance cover, seamless claims handling, and value-added services.
• Provision of policy schedules, proof of membership, and detailed premium calculations for each insurance class.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that bidders must:

• Provide insurance coverage for specified assets, including property, fleet, and contents, with policy schedules aligned to asset registers.
• Offer comprehensive claims handling with approximately 20 working days turnaround time.
• Submit a detailed pricing schedule based on a fixed rate card model, covering premiums, broker fees, SASRIA, and claim settlement costs.
• Demonstrate capacity and experience through verifiable client references (minimum of three), case studies of claims handled, and team qualifications.
• Ensure membership with recognised industry bodies and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Conduct regular review of insurance coverage and propose value-added services.

Skills Requirements

Proposed team members must possess:

• Key Accounts Manager: Relevant qualification (Regulatory Examination NQF Level 7), minimum 3 years’ experience, with detailed CVs and team structure.
• Support Team Members: Relevant qualifications, regulatory examination certification, and experience ranging from 1 to 5+ years, with supporting CVs and skills matrix.
• Experience in handling building, fleet, and office contents claims, with proven capacity to deliver seamless claims processing.
• Ability to provide verifiable client references and detailed case studies demonstrating claims management expertise.
