Objectives

The primary objective is to deliver accredited, face-to-face practical training in the R statistical programming language for a single participant. The programme aims to equip the attendee with foundational and applied competencies in data analysis, statistical modelling, and reproducible research workflows.

Scope

The training encompasses a structured curriculum covering:

• Introduction to R and RStudio environments
• Data import, export, management, and cleaning procedures
• Exploratory data analysis and data visualisation
• Statistical analysis, questionnaire/survey analysis, and qualitative data analysis
• Research reporting, reproducible research methodologies, practical application exercises, and good programming practices

The service provider must conduct face-to-face instruction and issue a formal certificate of completion upon successful participation.

Technical Requirements

• Training must align with NQF Level 4 standards.
• Mandatory accreditation by the relevant education or training authority.
• Certification must be competency-based (Certificate of Competency with Proof of Evidence), not merely an attendance record.
• Delivery must be strictly face-to-face.
• Bidders must specify the delivery period and confirm strict adherence to all specifications.
• All pricing must be VAT-inclusive and valid for 60 days.
• Submission requires completed Standard Bidding Document (SBD) forms and verified Central Supplier Database tax clearance.

The training provider must demonstrate proven expertise in:

• Data preprocessing, cleaning, and management techniques
• Exploratory and inferential statistical analysis

• Survey design, questionnaire processing, and qualitative data coding
• Academic/professional research reporting and reproducible research standards (e.g., automated scripting, version control)
• Instructional capability aligned to NQF Level 4 pedagogical frameworks
