The primary objective of this tender is to replace the deteriorated sulphuric acid tank at Duvha Power Station's North Cooling Water Treatment Plant, ensuring safe handling, environmental compliance, and structural integrity. The project aims to upgrade the existing infrastructure with a new acid tank designed according to PD 5500 standards, incorporating corrosion protection, safety features, and reliable level measurement systems.
The scope includes the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of a new sulphuric acid bulk tank, including associated pipework, valves, civil repairs, and corrosion protection systems. Specific activities involve dismantling the old tank, constructing the new tank with corrosion-resistant materials, installing level measurement and control systems, refurbishing bund walls, drainage systems, access platforms, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The project boundary is defined within the specified drawings and P&ID diagrams, covering civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.
