Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to hire portable toilet facilities and provide applicable servicing at various sites within the Western Cape on an as-and-when-required basis.

Scope

The scope involves the provision and servicing of portable toilet facilities across multiple sites in the Western Cape. The work includes supplying the toilets and ensuring their proper maintenance and servicing as needed, adhering to safety and quality standards specified by Eskom.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Compliance with Eskom’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards and legal requirements.
• Submission of an OHS plan addressing project-specific risks and aligned with health and safety specifications.
• Provision of a Baseline OHS Risk Assessment (BRA) with methodology details.
• Valid Letter of Good Standing (COIDA or equivalent).
• Signed OHS policy by the CEO, complying with OHS Act Section 7.
• For certified suppliers/contractors, submission of ISO 45001 certification or equivalent.
• Adherence to quality management system requirements, including documented quality policies, objectives, and evidence of implementation in line with ISO 9001 standards.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for tenderers include:

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement OHS plans and risk assessments.
• Certification or evidence of compliance with relevant health and safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Proven experience in providing portable sanitation facilities and servicing them at multiple sites.
• Capability to maintain quality management systems and meet Eskom’s quality requirements.
• Competence in managing external service providers and monitoring performance against safety and quality standards.
