Objectives

The manual aims to enhance public confidence, professional accountability, and the overall image of EMS practitioners by providing clear guidelines on uniform design, vehicle branding, insignia, and branding colours. It also seeks to reflect the core values of trust, high-quality service, patient care, safety, and community well-being.

Scope

The scope of this tender encompasses the provision of EMS uniforms for operational staff, management, training, and auxiliary personnel, including specific designs for male and female staff. It also covers the supply of vehicle branding guidelines, insignia, qualification badges, and other related visual identity elements. The scope extends to the supply of accessories such as caps, beanies, jackets, rain suits, reflective jackets, and safety footwear, all aligned with the prescribed standards and colour specifications. Additionally, the scope includes the provision of insignia, badges, and other identification items necessary for uniformed EMS personnel.

Technical Requirements

• Uniforms must adhere to specified colours: medical green (Pantone 349C / #00843D) for operational uniforms and navy blue for management and training uniforms.
• Operational uniforms include shirts (long and short sleeve), trousers, jumpsuits, caps, beanies, rain suits, reflective jackets, and accessories such as belts, socks, and boots, all with specified specifications and quantities.
• Management and training uniforms comprise shirts, blouses, trousers, jackets, ties, and accessories, with detailed specifications for each item.
• Uniform accessories such as caps, beanies, jackets, rain suits, and reflective jackets must meet specified specifications, sizes, and colours.
• All uniforms and accessories must incorporate provincial-specific EMS badges and reflective lettering as per the manual.
• Insignia and badges, including name badges, qualification badges, service rank insignia, and provincial badges, must meet specified sizes, materials, and design standards.
• Uniforms must be durable, suitable for harsh environments, and compliant with safety standards.
• All branding and insignia must be applied in accordance with the prescribed manual to ensure consistency.

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in designing and manufacturing uniforms that meet detailed technical specifications and colour standards.
• Experience in producing high-quality, durable, and safety-compliant uniforms and accessories for emergency services.
• Capability to supply custom insignia, badges, and branding elements that align with provincial and national standards.
• Knowledge of branding and visual identity standards within the healthcare and emergency services sector.
• Ability to manage large-scale supply logistics, including timely delivery of various uniform components and accessories.
• Expertise in quality control, inspection, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Experience in providing training or support related to uniform standards and insignia application.
