Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide comprehensive maintenance and support services for the Fabric Filter Plant at Hendrina Power Station over a period of 5 years. The scope includes routine maintenance, outage support, equipment servicing, consumables management, and ensuring compliance with Eskom's quality and safety standards to ensure optimal plant performance and reliability.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Routine and scheduled maintenance of the fabric filter plant, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of components such as manifolds, pulse air systems, air receivers, dampers, fans, dust hoppers, civil structures, and impulse pipework.
• Outage support activities, including planning, execution of repairs, inspections, and component replacements during plant outages.
• Management of consumables, spare parts, and maintenance equipment.
• Provision of personnel for core crew roles, including site management, supervision, safety officers, fitters, semi-skilled workers, riggers, and assistants.
• Implementation of safety, health, and environmental standards, including PPE, safety files, and compliance with Eskom's quality requirements.
• Handling of bag and cage replacements, lime coating, and disposal activities.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to Eskom's specifications and ISO 9001 standards for quality management.
• Provision of qualified personnel with appropriate skills and certifications.
• Use of approved tools, equipment, and consumables for maintenance activities.
• Implementation of safety protocols, including PPE, safety audits, and hazard management.
• Execution of scheduled inspections, repairs, and replacements as per detailed outage and maintenance plans.
• Proper disposal of waste materials, including used bags and cages, in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Documentation and reporting of maintenance activities, inspections, and quality audits.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Capability to supply skilled and semi-skilled personnel, including site managers, supervisors, safety officers, fitters, riggers, and assistants.
• Experience in maintaining and repairing fabric filter plants or similar industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards, hazard management, and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency in planning and executing outage activities, including component replacements and inspections.
• Ability to manage consumables, spare parts, and maintenance equipment effectively.
• Compliance with Eskom's quality assurance and supplier standards, including ISO 9001.
• Capacity to provide qualified personnel for PPE management, safety audits, and quality control.
