Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to supply, deliver, and install office furniture and blinds for QCTO offices. The engagement is set for a period of thirty-six (36) months, ensuring the provision of quality furnishings and window treatments to meet the organization’s operational needs.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the following:

• Supply of various office furniture items including chairs, desks, meeting tables, couches, outdoor furniture, racks, signage, and other related furnishings.
• Delivery of all specified items to the designated QCTO office locations.
• Installation of office furniture and blinds as per specifications.
• Provision of related services such as shopfitting for designated workspaces, including desks and signage.
• Provision of blinds and curtains for office and boardroom spaces.
• Adherence to the pricing, technical, and quality standards outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of office furniture items with specified quantities and quality standards, such as:
• Open plan chairs, office chairs, meeting chairs, training chairs, CEO office chairs, and other seating.
• Desks, meeting tables, modular seating, benches, and workstations.
• Outdoor furniture, tables, planters, and outdoor seating.
• Specialized items like examination beds, PVC curtains, signage, and shopfitting components.
• Supply and installation of blinds and curtains, including boardroom curtains and window blinds.
• Provision of signage and shopfitting materials with specified design and material standards.
• Compliance with local content and import regulations as per the South African standards (SATS 1286:2017).
• Adherence to quality, durability, and safety standards for all furniture and fixtures.
• Provision of reference letters and evidence of past experience demonstrating capability to deliver similar projects.

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must possess the following skills and competencies:

• Extensive experience in supplying and installing office furniture and related fixtures, supported by past project references.
• Technical expertise in furniture design, shopfitting, and installation services.
• Knowledge of local content regulations and import/export compliance standards.
• Capability to manage logistics, delivery, and installation within specified timeframes.
• Ability to provide comprehensive project management and coordination services.
• Proficiency in adhering to health and safety standards during installation processes.
• Financial stability and capacity to handle a multi-year contract.
• Skills in quality assurance, customer service, and post-installation support.
