The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, and install mechanical self-normalising (self-restoring) points systems at Mokopane and Kariba stations for a period of one year. The system aims to enhance operational reliability, improve re-signalling works, and mitigate damage to existing signalling infrastructure, thereby increasing operational availability and safety.
The scope encompasses the manufacture, supply, delivery, testing, and technical support of mechanical self-normalising point systems and associated accessories. Specific deliverables per site include:
The system must be compatible with manual mechanical point systems, be self-restoring after train passage, include trailable functionality, and be fabricated from durable railway-grade materials. Accessories such as rodding, bridle, clamps, and indicators are to be supplied complete.
The solution should demonstrate compliance with technical specifications, include detailed design and layout drawings, and provide evidence of quality assurance measures such as ISO 9001:2015 certification, internal or third-party test certificates, and detailed quality control documentation. The system must support reliable operation, durability, and safety standards required for railway signalling infrastructure.
