Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is the installation of a security fence for Khowa Park to enhance safety and security in the area. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, and services necessary to complete the fencing project in accordance with the specified requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Site clearance and preparation, including stripping topsoil and excavation.
• Construction of a perimeter security fence of specified height and specifications.
• Installation of steel mesh gates (pedestrian and vehicle gates).
• Provision of necessary security, storage, health, and safety arrangements during the project.
• All work must adhere to the standards and specifications outlined in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Use of good quality, SANS-approved materials.
• Construction of a 1.2m high perimeter security fence with shark teeth spikes on top, painted green.
• Installation of medium security steel mesh gates (1500 x 1200mm pedestrian gate and 5000 x 1200mm vehicle gate).
• Site clearance, excavation, and concrete work as detailed in the bill of quantities.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Inspection and quality assurance throughout the project.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in fencing and security infrastructure projects, with at least three completed projects within the last 7 years.
• Capability to provide technical methodology and project management approach.
• Qualified personnel with appropriate skills in construction, welding, and installation of security fencing.
• Financial stability, evidenced by bank ratings and relevant financial documentation.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations and proven track record in safety management.
