Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to replace the extraction hood at the Canteen of Lethabo Power Station, ensuring compliance with Eskom's quality and safety standards. The tender aims to select a supplier capable of delivering a quality management system that aligns with ISO 9001 requirements, demonstrating the ability to manage quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision, installation, and commissioning of the canteen extraction hood at Lethabo Power Station. It includes adherence to specified quality management processes, control of externally provided processes, materials, and equipment, as well as compliance with Eskom's contractual and safety standards.

Technical Requirements

• Implementation of a documented Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001, including a QMS manual, quality policy, and objectives.
• Provision of documented evidence of QMS in operation, covering roles and responsibilities, control of external processes, material and equipment compliance, preservation of goods, and risk management.
• Adherence to specific standards and requirements outlined by Eskom, including quality audits, management of nonconformities, and compliance with special processes.
• Completion and signing of Form A, confirming compliance with customer-specific and other relevant standards.
• Assessment of supplier and sub-supplier capability and capacity, with ongoing performance monitoring post-contract award.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management Systems.
• Ability to provide objective evidence of quality processes and compliance.
• Capability to manage external suppliers and ensure materials and equipment meet specified standards.
• Competence in risk management, preservation of goods, and quality assurance documentation.
• Understanding of Eskom’s contractual, safety, and quality standards, including audit and nonconformance management.
• Effective communication and documentation skills to complete required forms and reports accurately.
