Objectives

The primary objective is to deliver specialized training that equips Brand South Africa’s IT professionals with advanced competencies to securely deploy, manage, and monitor corporate devices and applications within a modern, cloud-centric workplace. The program aims to strengthen cybersecurity resilience, optimize IT operations, and ensure alignment with enterprise service delivery standards.

Scope of Work

The training curriculum encompasses eight core functional areas:

• Device Management (Intune): Deploy, manage, and secure physical and virtual endpoints using cloud-based Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
• Identity & Access Management (Entra ID): Configure users, groups, and device enrolment restrictions to enforce secure access protocols.
• Endpoint Security & Compliance: Implement conditional access, compliance policies, and device restrictions to protect organizational data.
• Modern Deployment (Autopilot): Utilize automated device provisioning and hybrid co-management capabilities.
• Application Management: Deploy, update, and govern cross-platform applications with protective mobile policies.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Leverage Intune and Defender for Endpoint for real-time analytics and issue resolution.
• Security & Compliance Frameworks: Apply Defender integration and Zero Trust architectures.
• Governance & Best Practices: Maintain security standards, access controls, and policy lifecycle management.

Deliverables: A structured training course concluding with a formal examination and accredited certificates for participants who successfully complete the program.

Technical Requirements

Bidders must substantiate their capability by providing reference letters on official client letterheads confirming prior experience in delivering equivalent Microsoft 365 administration and endpoint management training. Proposals will be evaluated under a transparent supply chain management framework adhering to South African public procurement regulations. The evaluation utilizes an 80/20 weighting model, allocating 80 points to competitive pricing and 20 points to specific socio-economic goals. Mandatory compliance documentation includes completed Standard Bid Document (SBD) forms, a Central Supplier Database (CSD) report, and valid Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) certification or sworn affidavit. Contractors will operate under direct client supervision, adhere to organizational codes of conduct, and receive milestone-based payments within thirty days of approved deliverables.

• Zero Trust Principles: A security architecture that eliminates implicit trust, requiring continuous verification of every user, device, and network request regardless of location.
• 80/20 Preference Points System: A South African public procurement scoring methodology where 80% of evaluation weight is assigned to price competitiveness, and 20% is allocated to socio-economic transformation goals (e.g., black ownership, micro-enterprise status, B-BBEE compliance).
