RFQ/025/2026/27: Microsoft 365 Administration & Endpoint Management (Intune / Entra ID) Training

Objectives

Brand South Africa invites experienced service providers to submit quotations for a training course aimed at equipping its IT professionals with the skills to securely deploy, manage, and monitor corporate devices and applications in a modern, cloud-centric workplace. The training must cover Microsoft 365 administration, with a specific focus on device management (Intune) and identity/access management (Entra ID).

Scope of Work

The course outline must include the following modules:

• Device Management (Intune): Deploy, manage, and secure physical/virtual endpoints (Windows, mobile) using cloud-based MDM (Mobile Device Management) and MAM (Mobile Application Management).
• Identity & Access Management (Entra ID): Configure users, groups, and device enrolment restrictions to ensure secure access to corporate resources.
• Endpoint Security & Compliance: Enforce security policies, including conditional access, compliance policies, and device restrictions to protect organizational data.
• Modern Deployment (Autopilot): Utilize Windows Autopilot for automated device provisioning and co-management to bridge on-premises Configuration Manager with cloud management.
• Application Management: Deploy, update, and manage apps across various platforms, including protective policies for mobile applications.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use Microsoft Intune and Defender for Endpoint for real-time monitoring, AI-driven insights, and troubleshooting.
• Security and Compliance: Apply security measures like Defender integration, compliance policies, and Zero Trust principles to protect users and devices.
• Governance & Best Practices: Apply security standards, manage access responsibly, and maintain proper lifecycle and policy control.

Key Competencies to be Developed

• Analytical Thinking: Evaluate system behaviour, interpret logs, and identify root causes of issues.
• Security Mindset: Proactively assess risks and apply preventive controls.
• Systems Configuration & Optimization: Design, implement, and fine-tune configurations for performance, usability, and security.
• Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues and apply effective solutions in enterprise environments.
• IT Service Management & Support: Support users, manage incidents, and ensure smooth IT operations.

Deliverables

• The course must include an exam.
• An accredited certificate must be issued to attendees who complete the course.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bidders must provide proof of experience in providing Data Analysis training, in the form of five (5) reference letters on a client's letterhead, indicating the type of services offered.
• The CV of the proposed facilitator must demonstrate technical and professional experience in Data Analysis training, with a minimum of 3 years' experience.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference points system in accordance with the PPPFA Regulations:

• Price: 80 points (detailed budget breakdown required).
• Specific Goals: 20 points (claimed via SBD 6.1 form, with proof such as a CSD report and certified B-BBEE certificate or Sworn Affidavit).

Technical Terms Explained

• Intune: A cloud-based service for managing mobile devices and applications (MDM/MAM).
• Entra ID (formerly Azure AD): Microsoft's cloud-based identity and access management service.
• Windows Autopilot: A technology for automating the setup and configuration of new Windows devices.
• Zero Trust: A security model that assumes no user or device is trusted by default, requiring verification for every access request.
• MDM/MAM: Mobile Device Management (managing devices) and Mobile Application Management (managing apps).

Payment Structure

• Brand South Africa undertakes to pay in full within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid claim/invoice for work completed to its satisfaction.
• Payments will be made based on milestones/deliverables as per the project implementation plan.

General Instructions

• The price quoted must be valid for at least 90 days.
• Bidders must complete the pricing schedule (SBD 3) and return it as part of the submission.
• Bidders must complete and submit the SBD 4 (Bidder's Disclosure) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim) forms.
• Bidders must provide a detailed breakdown of costs on company letterhead.
• Submissions must be made before the closing date of 28 August 2026 at 16:00.
