Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to develop and implement a new data integration solution between SAP and Primavera to replace the existing SAP EPC system. The solution aims to manage data integration effectively over a period of 5 years, ensuring seamless data flow, security, and compliance with Eskom's standards and policies.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Design, development, and deployment of a data integration solution between SAP and Primavera systems.
• Replacement of the current SAP EPC system with a more efficient, secure, and scalable integration platform.
• Provision of ongoing support, maintenance, and upgrades over a 6-year project duration.
• Ensuring compliance with Eskom’s data security, confidentiality, and privacy requirements.
• Inclusion of disaster recovery, business continuity, and data management protocols.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Implementation of a cloud or on-premise solution, with clear indication of the service model (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.).
• Data storage in secure environments, with backup and recovery capabilities, including audit trails and data preservation procedures.
• Support for multiple data interfaces, including batch and real-time data exchange protocols (e.g., SFTP, HTTPS).
• Encryption of data at rest and in transit, using industry standards.
• Compliance with Eskom’s security standards, including access controls, audit logging, and incident management.
• Provision of disaster recovery and business continuity plans with defined RTO and RPO.
• Clear procedures for data retention, destruction, and metadata management.
• Ability to handle cross-border data flows in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Expertise in cloud and on-premise data integration architectures, particularly SAP and Primavera systems.
• Proficiency in relevant technologies and platforms (e.g., SAP CPI/PI/PO, Mulesoft, Oracle Middleware, etc.).
• Experience in implementing secure data transfer, encryption, and access control measures.
• Capability to develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and security protocols.
• Skills in project management, system development, and support for complex enterprise data environments.
• Knowledge of Eskom’s data security policies, legal compliance, and industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC, and ISAE.
• Ability to provide ongoing support, training, and documentation to Eskom personnel.
