Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a panel of qualified service providers responsible for the maintenance of cooling, refrigeration, and freezing equipment at Golden Gate Highlands National Park. The maintenance includes the replacement of parts as needed, for a period of three (3) years, ensuring the operational integrity and reliability of the equipment.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Maintenance of various cooling, refrigeration, and freezing equipment located across multiple sites within the park.
• Replacement of parts for the specified equipment as required.
• Servicing of equipment on a quarterly basis, including specific models and serial numbers listed in the specifications.
• Provision of a pricing schedule covering all equipment items for the entire three-year period.

The equipment includes walk-in freezers, fridges, chest freezers, bar fridges, chalet refrigerators, cool rooms, and other refrigeration units at various locations such as restaurants, hotel rooms, chalets, and pantry areas.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the specifications and asset numbers provided for each piece of equipment.
• Quarterly servicing of all listed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Replacement of parts with genuine or approved equivalents, as specified.
• Provision of detailed pricing per item, including unit prices exclusive of VAT, and total costs over the three-year period with annual percentage increases.
• Compliance with mandatory requirements such as CIDB registration, tax compliance, and submission of relevant verification documents.
• Demonstration of experience through reference letters and proof of previous maintenance work.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidders must possess:

• Relevant technical expertise in refrigeration, cooling, and freezing equipment maintenance.
• Certified skills in refrigeration and air conditioning (e.g., registered with recognized industry bodies).
• Experience in servicing similar equipment, evidenced by reference letters and past project details.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards applicable to refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Ability to provide timely and effective service, including quarterly maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and environmental regulations.
