The primary objectives of this tender are to establish a panel for the repair and maintenance of technical equipment across Joburg City Theatres, ensuring all equipment is inspected, serviced, repaired, and restored to a safe, compliant, and operational condition. The overarching goal is to support scheduled productions, uphold safety standards, and maintain high-quality theatre experiences that align with industry standards and OEM specifications.
The scope encompasses the inspection, servicing, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of technical equipment including lighting, audio-visual, sound, laundry, scenery, power and hardware, and control systems across Joburg Theatre, Soweto Theatre, and Rooderport Theatre. All parts used must be new and covered by manufacturer warranties. Installation and repair work must comply with electrical and safety standards, and maintenance must be completed within agreed timelines. The scope also includes managing equipment such as lighting fixtures, projectors, sound consoles, microphones, stage motors, and scenery components, among others.
Additional requirements specify that bidders are limited to two elements and must provide dedicated account management, with regular reviews and the possibility of team replacements if deemed not adding value.
