Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is for the Prince Albert Municipality to engage a qualified contractor to supply and install blinds, frames, perform general repairs, and install kitchen equipment at the Prince Albert Tourism Office. The aim is to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the tourism office facilities, ensuring they meet specified standards and support the municipality’s service delivery and community engagement goals.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision and installation of various sizes of window and display frames (A3, A2, A1).
• Supply and installation of wooden venetian blinds.
• Installation of signage at key locations such as the town hall, tourism office, and town entrances (South End and North End).
• Construction and fitting of kitchen zinc and shelves, including connection to existing sewer systems.
• Supply and installation of signage with specific visual and material specifications.
• Painting of walls and ceilings within the designated areas.
• Provision of additional items such as water faucet taps, and signage with specific design requirements.
• Removal of waste and provision of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for completion.

The scope also encompasses compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards, including warranty provisions and adherence to municipal regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Use of high-quality materials such as MDF, Plexi glass, and metal for frames and signage.
• Signage must be pin-mounted, coated with ceramic or UV finish, and include detailed visual specifications (e.g., size, thickness, color codes).
• Installation of signage on existing poles or structures, ensuring durability and visual clarity.
• Provision of window blinds made of wood venetian material, with specified dimensions and quality standards.
• Construction of zinc and shelves with connection to existing sewer infrastructure, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
• Painting of walls and ceilings with specified coverage areas and quality standards.
• Supply of water faucet taps with LED digital display and other specified fixtures.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations during installation and construction activities.
• Adherence to the specifications outlined in the bid documents, including sizes, materials, finishes, and mounting methods.
• Provision of warranties: 6 months on construction works and 12 months on supplied goods, with clear procedures for returns and replacements.
• Documentation and certification, including municipal accounts, CIDB registration, and tax compliance, to ensure eligibility and compliance with municipal procurement policies.
