Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to deliver household removal services for Elundini Local Municipality employees over a period of three (3) years. The service aims to facilitate efficient, safe, and insured relocation of household goods, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of household removal services, including packing, handling, and transportation of household goods.
• Use of skilled and trained staff and appropriate equipment for safe handling.
• Provision of storage facilities if required.
• Adherence to safety standards during the move.
• Insurance coverage against loss or damage during transit.
• Handling of items excluding valuables, prohibited or dangerous goods, animals, and items requiring special permits.
• Completion of removals within a maximum of seven (7) days from instruction receipt, unless extended by special request.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of skilled and trained personnel for packing and handling.
• Use of appropriate equipment to ensure safety and protection of goods.
• Compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Provision of insurance against loss or damage.
• Timely execution of removal services, with a maximum turnaround time of seven days.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in household removals, supported by relevant invoices and delivery notes.
• Capability to provide goods in transit insurance.
• Ownership or lease agreement for transportation vehicles (trucks).
• Ability to provide skilled and trained staff for packing and handling.
• Ability to meet turnaround times and safety standards.
• Provision of insurance coverage for goods being moved.
