Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider for the provision of hydrogen plant maintenance services at Hendrina Power Station. The services are to be delivered on an "as and when required" basis over a period of five years, ensuring the continued safe and efficient operation of the hydrogen plant.

Scope

The scope of work includes maintenance and related services for the hydrogen plant at Hendrina Power Station. This encompasses:

• Implementation of management plans and environmental policies specific to site activities
• Obtaining and maintaining necessary authorisations, permits, and licences (e.g., waste transporter, waste site licences)
• Development and execution of method statements for specific activities
• Provision of procedures and work instructions
• Management of emergency preparedness plans related to oil/chemical spills and disasters
• Maintaining registers for hazardous substances and waste generated
• Ensuring safety data sheets (SDS) are available and up-to-date
• Provision of proof of training and skills of personnel involved in significant activities
• Adherence to environmental and safety procedures, including waste management and spill response

Technical Requirements

The contractor must provide:

• Management plans aligned with environmental policies and site-specific activities
• Authorisations, permits, and licences relevant to the scope of work
• Method statements and procedures for specific maintenance activities
• Emergency preparedness and incident response protocols
• Registers for hazardous substances and waste management
• Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all hazardous materials used
• Environmental Management Programme approved by relevant authorities
• Training and skills certification for personnel performing critical activities
• Implementation of specified procedures such as waste management and oil spill response

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Competence in environmental management and compliance with relevant policies and procedures
• Ability to develop and implement maintenance and emergency response plans
• Experience in handling hazardous substances and waste management
• Provision of adequately trained personnel with proven skills in spill response, chemical handling, and plant maintenance
• Knowledge of applicable permits, licences, and regulatory requirements
• Capability to prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including safety data sheets and training records
