Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a contract for the provision of water sampling services across specified sites for a period of five years. The services aim to support the monitoring and testing of water quality at various locations, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of water sampling services at multiple sites, including Simmerpan Complex, Victoria Lake Inn, Apollo, Bernina, Minerva, Snowdon, Kookfontein (Gauteng), and additional sites outside Gauteng such as Ararat, Borutho, Bighorn, Carmel, Dinaledi, Ngwedi, Marang, Trident, Pluto, Mookodi, Watershed, Witkop, Tabor, Spencer, Merensky, Leseding, Hermes, and Midas. The contract duration is five years, with services to be delivered as and when required under the direction of the Service Manager.

Technical Requirements

• Completion and submission of all required returnable documents, including signed acknowledgment forms, safety and health plans, and technical proposals.
• Provision of accredited laboratory testing (SANAS accreditation) for all required analyses.
• Demonstration of relevant experience through previous similar projects (minimum of 3 completed or in-progress projects over the last 5 years).
• Submission of qualified personnel CVs, including at least one analytical chemist or water specialist meeting specified requirements.
• Development and submission of a comprehensive methodology and work plan aligned with scope and requirements.
• Compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality standards, including adherence to Eskom SHEQ policies and ISO standards.
• Implementation of a quality management system and demonstration of capability to meet contractual quality requirements.
• Provision of detailed pricing, including price adjustment formulas, and compliance with local content and B-BBEE requirements.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified analytical chemists or water specialists with relevant experience and professional accreditation (e.g., SETA certification).
• Experience in water sampling, testing, and reporting, with proven track record in similar projects.
• Capability to develop and implement sampling methodologies and work plans.
• Strong understanding of SHEQ standards, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SANAS accreditation processes.
• Effective project management and communication skills to coordinate sampling activities across multiple sites.
• Ability to compile comprehensive technical and safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
