Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply and install/implement a Public Address (PA) system at the Water Research Commission (WRC) new offices. The goal is to ensure the provision of a functional, compliant, and high-performance PA system that meets the operational needs of the WRC.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of all required components for the PA system.
• Installation of hardware infrastructure and equipment in accordance with technical standards.
• Testing and certification of the installed system, with signed reports by the end-user department.
• Participation in a compulsory site visit and briefing session.
• Delivery of the system to the specified site in Pretoria.

The appointed service provider shall ensure the system is installed, tested, and compliant with all relevant standards and requirements specified by the WRC.

Technical Requirements

The PA system shall:

• Provide audio performance at least equivalent to the outlined specifications, ensuring clear and effective sound distribution.
• Be designed with a suitable system architecture to support the operational needs of the WRC offices.
• Comply with applicable standards and regulations related to audio systems and infrastructure.
• Include all necessary hardware components, installed and tested with signed reports.

The system must meet the functional and technical standards specified in the tender documentation, ensuring reliable operation within the new office environment.

Skills and Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Registration with the CIDB at an appropriate grading level for the scope of work.
• Compliance with tax and B-BBEE requirements, including submission of valid tax clearance and B-BBEE certificates.
• Experience in supplying and installing PA systems or similar audio infrastructure projects.
• Ability to provide technical testing, certification, and sign-off reports.
• Participation in a compulsory site briefing and the capacity to deliver within the specified timeline.
• Provision of all standard bid documentation, including SBD forms, sworn affidavits (if applicable), and proof of compliance.

Additionally, bidders should have the capacity to execute the project efficiently, adhere to technical standards, and provide ongoing support if required.
