Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit bids from qualified service providers to deliver hygienic services and maintenance across all depots and the head office of the Mayibuye Transport Corporation (MTC) for a period of three (3) years. The services include the supply, installation, servicing, and maintenance of hygiene equipment and consumables to ensure a hygienic environment within the facilities.

Scope

The scope encompasses comprehensive hygiene services for four depots and the head office, including:

• Provision of hygiene equipment such as dispensers, toilet roll holders, wall-mounted bins, air fresheners, and sanitizers.
• Supply and maintenance of consumables including hand sanitizing gels, wipes, shampoos, soaps, and paper products.
• Deep cleaning of facilities such as basins, toilets, urinals, and showers every two months.
• Installation, servicing, and regular replenishment of hygiene equipment and consumables.
• Adherence to health and safety standards and compliance with relevant legislation.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Provision of specified hygiene products and equipment as detailed in the tender (e.g., sanitizer dispensers, toilet roll holders, wall-mounted bins, etc.).
• Installation and ongoing maintenance of hygiene equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Monthly supply of consumables such as hand sanitizing gels, wipes, shampoos, and soaps.
• Bi-monthly deep cleaning of facilities, including basins, toilets, urinals, and showers.
• Compliance with SABS standards and industry hygiene standards.
• Provision of safety clothing and uniforms for staff working on-site.
• Submission of operation and maintenance manuals upon completion of installation.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in providing hygiene and cleaning services, with proof/reference letters supporting at least 3-5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Qualified and trained personnel in hygiene services and safety protocols.
• Capability to install, service, and maintain hygiene equipment according to industry standards.
• Ability to prepare and submit detailed work plans, schedules, and compliance documentation.
• Proficiency in managing supply chains for hygiene consumables and equipment.
