The primary objectives of this Request for Information (RFI) are to gather market insights on the design, supply, and capability to deliver tea and coffee flasks suitable for onboard use by South African Airways (SAA). Specifically, SAA aims to identify flask solutions that support domestic, regional, and international flight operations, ensuring compatibility with airline catering environments. The objectives include exploring potential commercial considerations, ensuring products fit within existing airline storage bins, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, durability, workmanship, and elegance.
The scope of this RFI encompasses the supply of tea and coffee flasks for onboard use by SAA. It includes:
The products in scope are the coffee flask (item code SA 1227) and tea flask (item code SA 1235). The reference dimensions are approximately 226 mm in length, 127 mm in width, and 151 mm in height, with an approximate weight of 0.548 kg. Proposed products must fit within the silver Atlas bin size of approximately 410 mm x 260 mm x 265 mm.
