The primary objective of this tender is to gather information and market insights for the implementation of a private LTE (PLTE) network as a last mile solution for Eskom Distribution. The exercise aims to inform Eskom’s strategy development and may include requesting indicative prices to assess potential solutions.
The scope encompasses the design, deployment, and support of a private LTE network tailored to Eskom’s distribution infrastructure. It includes system architecture, network design, spectrum strategy, security, device ecosystems, operational support, and risk management. The project covers urban, rural, and remote sites, including indoor coverage strategies for control rooms, substations, and campuses.
