Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to acquire a panel of qualified service providers to deliver mechanical engineering maintenance services at Acsa Airports over a period of 5 years. The aim is to ensure effective, reliable, and compliant maintenance operations to support airport functionality and safety.

Scope

The scope encompasses providing comprehensive mechanical engineering maintenance services across designated airport facilities. This includes routine inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and management of spare parts and equipment. The services will be delivered at the specified airport(s), with responsibilities extending to safety, environmental management, quality assurance, and coordination with other service providers and authorities.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of skilled personnel including engineers, site supervisors, process controllers, and assistants with relevant qualifications and experience.
• Development and implementation of maintenance plans aligned with the Employer’s specifications and standards.
• Adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance protocols, including compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
• Management of inventory, spares, and procurement processes in accordance with specified procedures.
• Implementation of safety and environmental controls, including waste management and environmental constraints.
• Coordination of site activities, including access, security, and compliance with site-specific rules and regulations.
• Provision of documentation such as inspection reports, safety records, and progress meetings.
• Management of third-party procurement and subcontractors where applicable.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified mechanical engineers with relevant technical expertise and experience in airport maintenance environments.
• Trade-certified millwrights and technicians with SAQA accreditation.
• Site supervisors with strong leadership, safety awareness, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management, procurement, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation applicable to airport operations.
• Ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies and plans.
• Effective communication and reporting skills for coordination meetings and documentation.
• Understanding of quality assurance standards, including ISO standards if applicable.
