Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Clothing and Textile Training services for fifty (50) CWP participants over a period of one (1) month. The training aims to enhance participants' skills in clothing and textile production, including on-job training components, to improve their employability and productivity within the sector.

Scope

The scope of the services includes:

• Provision of a comprehensive Clothing and Textile Training Programme for fifty (50) participants.
• Training to be conducted in three provinces: Eastern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal, and Free State.
• The training duration is one (1) month.
• Training content covers introduction to textile and clothing production, fabric types, tools and safety, pattern drafting, garment construction, machine operation, quality control, and workflow management.
• Training to include practical, on-job components with necessary equipment and facilities.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the training must:

• Be conducted in a fully equipped factory environment with all necessary machinery and tools.
• Cover key areas such as fabric selection, pattern drafting, sewing skills, machine operation (industrial, overlock, domestic), garment assembly, finishing, and quality assurance.
• Include practical exercises like assembly of garment components, machine troubleshooting, and production workflow management.
• Meet the specifications confirmed by the end user/requestor, ensuring relevance to the clothing and textile sector.

Skills Requirements

The skills required from the service provider include:

• Expertise in clothing and textile manufacturing processes.
• Ability to deliver practical, on-job training with appropriate equipment.
• Knowledge of garment construction, pattern drafting, and machine operation.
• Experience in quality control, safety practices, and production efficiency.
• Capacity to manage training across multiple provinces within the specified timeframe.
