Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a Safety Management Training Course focused on Basic Life Support (BLS). The training aims to equip participants with practical skills for emergency response, including recognition of life-threatening situations, effective CPR, AED use, team dynamics during resuscitation, and understanding emergency scene management, aligned with current guidelines and standards.

Scope

The scope encompasses the delivery of a comprehensive Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures training program for 14 employees over a maximum period of 2 weeks. The training includes practical skills development, assessment, and certification based on LGSETA Unit Standard SAQA ID: 119567. The service provider must ensure accreditation, provide training materials, and deliver the training at a designated venue, adhering to specified timelines and quality standards.

Technical Requirements

• The training must be conducted by an accredited provider with proof of SETA accreditation and RCSA certification.
• The training must cover the LGSETA Unit Standard: Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures (SAQA ID: 119567, Credits: 5, NQF Level: 1).
• Training delivery should include practical skills sessions, assessments, and certification for all participants.
• Training materials must include a manual, facilitator guide, learner workbook, and assessment guide.
• The provider must demonstrate experience and qualifications of facilitators, including registration with relevant professional bodies such as the South African Nursing Council.
• The training must incorporate the latest BLS guidelines and best practices, ensuring effective emergency scene management and AED use.
• All training activities must comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and relevant legislation.

Skills Requirements

• Proven accreditation and certification from SETA and RCSA for Basic Life Support training.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting BLS and First Aid training, with at least 5 years of relevant training experience.
• Qualified facilitators registered with the South African Nursing Council or equivalent professional bodies.
• Ability to develop and deliver comprehensive training materials, including manuals, presentations, and assessment guides.
• Capacity to assess learners effectively and provide certification upon successful completion.
• Experience in working with occupational health teams and understanding of emergency response protocols.
• Ability to meet deadlines, deliver practical skills training, and ensure participant competency in life-saving procedures.
