Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage qualified training providers to deliver comprehensive First Aid Level 3 training, aligned with SAQA Unit Standard ID 376480. The training aims to equip employees, especially those responsible for providing advanced first aid, with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively to emergencies, injuries, or sudden illnesses at an advanced responder level.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of First Aid Level 3 training in accordance with SAQA standards.
• Training duration of approximately 5 days, delivered through a combination of classroom instruction, practical exercises, and simulations.
• Training targeted at employees at all levels within the organization, particularly those acting as advanced first responders with no prior knowledge of Level 3 first aid procedures.
• Delivery of training content covering principles of advanced first aid, emergency assessment, anatomy and physiology related to injuries, management of shock, and scene management.
• Provision of course learning materials, assessments, and certification upon successful completion.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the training services include:

• Training must be compliant with SAQA Unit Standard ID 376480.
• Delivery of training over 5 days, incorporating classroom, practical, and simulation components.
• Assessment and certification in accordance with SAQA standards.
• Provision of qualified facilitators, assessors, and moderators with relevant accreditation.
• Provision of course materials and resources necessary for effective training.
• Cost-effective proposals with clear breakdowns of costs per candidate and per training day.

Skills Requirements

The successful training provider must demonstrate:

• Accreditation and proven experience in delivering First Aid Level 3 training aligned with SAQA standards.
• Qualified facilitators, assessors, and moderators with relevant certifications and experience in advanced first aid training.
• Ability to deliver engaging classroom instruction, practical exercises, and simulations.
• Capability to assess learners effectively and issue valid certifications.
• Provision of comprehensive training materials and resources.
• Experience in training employees with no prior knowledge of advanced first aid procedures.
