Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply and delivery of consumables required by the Passenger Rail Agency (PRASA). The aim is to procure quality consumables efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to support PRASA's operational needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various consumables, including items such as stainless steel chains, cartridges, batteries, locks, power plugs, extension cords, and other related items as detailed in the pricing schedule. The procurement covers all necessary items to meet PRASA's operational requirements within specified delivery periods.

Technical Requirements

• Items must conform to the specifications provided in the tender documentation, including quality standards and technical specifications.
• Suppliers must complete and submit the Pricing Schedule and BOQ/Price Schedule as per the tender instructions.
• All prices must be quoted in South African Rand, inclusive of all applicable taxes, and on a firm basis.
• Delivery must be made within the earliest possible period, with specific delivery timelines indicated by the supplier.
• Suppliers must ensure compliance with tax and legal requirements, including submission of tax compliance certificates and registration details.
• Items must be new, unused, and fit for purpose, meeting the quality standards specified.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying similar consumables, demonstrated through successful completion of comparable projects (minimum of 1-5 similar projects for scoring purposes).
• Ability to provide technical documentation, certificates, and proof of compliance with quality standards.
• Capacity to deliver within specified timeframes and handle logistics efficiently.
• Knowledge of procurement regulations, tax compliance, and legal contractual obligations.
• Competence in completing and submitting all required documentation accurately, including pricing, compliance, and declaration forms.
