The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to carry out repairs on diesel locomotives, specifically Locomotive 36018 and 36048, ensuring they are maintained to operational standards and meet safety and regulatory requirements.
The scope of work includes the comprehensive repair and maintenance of the specified diesel locomotives. This involves inspection, diagnosis, parts replacement, testing, and ensuring the locomotives are fit for service. The work will be conducted at the designated rolling stock depot located at 121 Smith Street, Braamfontein, with the repair activities scheduled to commence upon contract award.
