Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to deliver Business Support for the maintenance of the Human Resources SAP Payroll and Information System. This includes providing support for various SAP HR modules, reporting tools, ESS & MSS access, configuration, and consultancy services related to SAP HR/PY systems for approximately 3,200 employees over a period of 60 days.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Maintenance and support of the SAP HR/PY system, including all implemented modules such as Personnel Administration, Time Management, Payroll (excluding vendor & third-party payments), Management Reporting, Training & Event Management, Qualifications & Skills Management, Job Profiles, Development Plans, Career & Succession Planning, Performance Management, and Labour Relations.
• Provision and support of Employee Self-Service (ESS) & Manager Self-Service (MSS) access for approximately 1,300 users.
• Ad-hoc SAP HR and Payroll configuration as required.
• HR and Payroll consultation services on an as-needed basis.
• Support for reporting and management reporting tools, including Org Publisher and Spinifex Management Reporting tools.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Valid SAP Partner Accreditation, with certification within the last three months.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in business support and maintenance of SAP HR/PY systems, including specific modules and year-end tax processes, within South Africa.
• Experience supporting and maintaining Org Publisher Organizational Reporting and Spinifex Management Reporting tools integrated with SAP HR/PY.
• Provision of support for ESS & MSS access, configuration, and HR/PY consultancy services.
• Records and data must remain the property of Johannesburg Water at all times.
• Indemnification of Johannesburg Water from risks associated with the payment process to employees and third parties.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven expertise in SAP HR modules, including Personnel Administration, Time Management, Payroll, and related reporting tools.
• Experience in configuring and supporting SAP HR/PY systems, including ad-hoc configuration and organizational reporting tools.
• Capability to provide HR and Payroll consultancy services.
• Support for ESS & MSS portals and user access management.
• Ability to deliver support and maintenance services within a 60-day period.
• Compliance with SAP accreditation and relevant experience as specified.
