Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to develop and implement an interactive visual environment for monitoring and controlling 35 valves at Works Area 2 of the Vereeniging Pumping Station. The system aims to provide real-time visualization of flow status (flow or no flow) in pipelines based on valve operations, thereby enhancing operational oversight and decision-making.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing a comprehensive 3D site scan of the pipeline area at Vereeniging Pumping Station, specifically in Works Area 2 containing 35 valves.
• Segmenting and categorizing the scanned data to accurately represent different sections and components.
• Designing the structure and functionality of an interactive visual environment, including user interface considerations and stakeholder feedback integration.
• Developing the system architecture, integrating hardware and software components, ensuring scalability and future enhancements.
• Building the interactive environment, conducting testing, and providing training for operators and staff.
• Implementing validation protocols, user acceptance testing, and delivering comprehensive documentation, training materials, and technical reports.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Thorough 3D site scanning of the pipeline area to capture detailed spatial data.
