Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver specified items as per the RFQ requirements to Johannesburg Water. The aim is to procure quality materials efficiently, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and procurement policies.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various pipe fittings, clamps, collars, bends, and elbows as detailed in the RFQ. The items are intended for use within the Johannesburg Metropolitan area, specifically targeting businesses located within the City of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, or the COJ Municipality.

Technical Requirements

• All quotations must specify the brand name offered, with items matching the descriptions provided.
• Items must be supplied on official company letterhead and submitted in PDF format via the E-tender portal; no email submissions are accepted.
• Quotations without correct specifications or submitted after the closing date will be rejected.
• Manufacturer datasheets must be attached for all items.
• Items must meet the specified dimensions, materials, and standards as listed (e.g., stainless steel clamps, PVC and HDPE fittings).

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with procurement policies, including submission of valid tax clearance, BBBEE certificates, municipal rates, and other mandatory documents.
• Respondents should have the capacity to supply the specified items in the required quantities within the stipulated timeframe.
• Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with valid MAAA Supplier Number.
• All bidders should possess the necessary technical expertise to meet the specifications and quality standards outlined in the RFQ.
• Applicants must complete and submit all relevant declarations, including conflict of interest, supply chain management practices, and independent bid determination forms.
