Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a supplier capable of providing and delivering a comprehensive range of commercial wines as specified, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and compliance with the detailed specifications outlined in the RFQ.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of a wide variety of wines from multiple vineyards and brands, including heritage series, unwooded, and specific varietals such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinotage, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Colombar, and others. Delivery must be made to the specified address at Nietvoorbij, Stellenbosch, with adherence to the quantities and specifications listed across multiple pages of the RFQ.

Technical Requirements

• Compliance with the detailed wine specifications, including varietal, vintage year, and packaging (750ml bottles).
• Delivery to the designated address at Nietvoorbij, Stellenbosch.
• Provision of a warranty period and relevant documentation of experience if services are involved.
• Submission of quotations on official letterhead, duly signed, with clear indication of delivery dates.
• Adherence to the general conditions of contract issued by National Treasury and the ARC supply chain management code of conduct.
• Inclusion of all costs such as delivery, insurance, taxes, and VAT in the quotation.
• Evaluation based on price (80 points) and specific goals (20 points) as per the prescribed scoring system.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering wines or similar consumables, supported by relevant documentation.
• Capability to meet the technical specifications and delivery timelines specified in the RFQ.
• Understanding of procurement procedures, including compliance with administrative and legal requirements such as the CSD registration, signed bid documents, and standard bidding forms.
• Ability to provide detailed pricing, warranty information, and proof of BEE status or ownership goals if claiming preference points.
• Capacity to undertake due diligence and price benchmarking as required by ARC.
