Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of various consumables, including nails, floor shine, cleaning liquids, furniture polish, air fresheners, hand paper towels, deo blocks, pine gel, wax pan seals, window putty, and related items, to meet the operational needs of Johannesburg Water.

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of specified consumables as detailed in the technical specifications, including packaging and quantity requirements. The successful bidder will be responsible for supplying and delivering these consumables to the designated Johannesburg Water locations within the stipulated timeframe.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of consumables as per detailed specifications, including sizes, packaging, and quantities (e.g., drywall nails, anchor nails, floor shine, cleaning liquids, etc.).
• Items must meet specified standards such as SABS approval for hand paper towels.
• Floor polish must be a 2-in-1 high shine, 24% polymer sealer & Mop-and-Shine, suitable for all non-porous internal surfaces.
• All products should be supplied in the specified packaging and quantities, with accurate descriptions and specifications.
• Bid submissions must include all costs, taxes, and levies, with adherence to the specified packaging and quality standards.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Ability to supply a wide range of consumables meeting technical specifications and quality standards.
• Experience in handling and delivering consumables in bulk quantities within specified timeframes.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and compliance with Johannesburg Water’s supply chain policies.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and compliance with BBBEE certification requirements.
• Capability to provide valid documentation such as tax clearance certificates, BBBEE certificates or sworn affidavits, and municipal accounts or lease agreements.
• Understanding of health and safety standards related to the handling and delivery of consumables.
