Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for four Learner Traffic Officers employed by Sundays River Valley Municipality. The aim is to ensure that the officers are equipped with appropriate PPE to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of a comprehensive range of PPE items as specified in the detailed specifications, including footwear, uniforms, accessories, and other related safety gear for both male and female traffic officers. The delivery must be made to the designated municipal offices by the specified deadline.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of PPE items as per the detailed specifications, including specific clothing, footwear, hats, and accessories.
• Items must be new, of current models, and comply with relevant safety and quality standards.
• All PPE must be suitable for use by traffic officers, with appropriate sizes and specifications.
• Items must be delivered in packaging that ensures safety and integrity during transit.
• Delivery must be completed within a firm and specified timeframe, with valid delivery documentation.
• Suppliers must provide proof of local content (100%) and registration with the Central Supplier Database (CSD).

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Qualified and experienced service providers with a proven track record in supplying PPE or related safety gear.
• Capability to meet technical specifications and quality standards as outlined in the tender documentation.
• Ability to provide comprehensive documentation, including valid tax clearance, B-BBEE certification, municipal statements, and proof of local content.
• Knowledge of procurement policies and adherence to the municipality’s supply chain management policies.
• Effective communication skills for technical and SCM enquiries.
• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timeframe and handle logistics efficiently.
