Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply, delivery, assembling, and installation of office furniture, filing cabinets, high-density filing systems, and electrical appliances for Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality. The contract is intended to cover a period of three (3) years, with services rendered as and when the need arises.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of various office furniture items such as chairs, desks, reception benches, and cabinets.
• Installation and assembling of office furniture and electrical appliances.
• Provision of high-density filing systems, including mobile filing cabinets and bulk storage units.
• Supply of electrical appliances including fridges, microwaves, fans, and waste bins.
• Provision of related services such as supervision, training, and maintenance as required.

The services are to be provided on an as-and-when basis over the three-year period, depending on the municipality’s needs.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the items include:

• Office chairs: Mid-back, drafting chairs with armrests, heavy-duty high-back leather chairs, classical high-back chairs with arms, visitor chairs, ergonomic cashier stools, and reception benches with specified weight capacities.
• Desks: Panel-leg office desks, executive desks, and shell desks with fitted drawers, all with specified dimensions and features such as lockable drawers and adjustable feet.
• Storage units: Lockable mobile credenzas, 4-tier cabinets, 4-drawer filing cabinets (metal and wooden), and mobile high-density filing systems in various bay configurations.
• Other furniture: Boardroom tables, conference tables, and reception benches.
• Electrical appliances: Fridges, microwaves, pedestal fans, waste bins, and other specified electrical items.

Skills Requirements

Bidder skills and experience requirements include:

• Demonstrated relevant experience in supplying, delivering, and installing office furniture and related systems, supported by appointment and reference letters.
• Proven ability to provide suitable delivery vehicles, with evidence of ownership, leasing, or authorized transportation arrangements.
• Technical capability to supply items that meet the specified specifications, supported by brochures and technical descriptions.
• Compliance with tax and legal requirements, including registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database, tax compliance, and declaration of interests.
• Capacity to execute the project efficiently, including logistics, installation, and after-sales support.
