Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver bearings, specifically MB200 complete sets, as per the provided drawings and specifications. The project aims to ensure the procurement of high-quality bearings manufactured from hardened EN19 material, suitable for the specified application at Johannesburg Water's facilities.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of:

• Two complete sets of bearings (BM200), including all associated components such as housing assemblies, back cover plates, bushes, shafts, bearing holder brackets, and screws, as detailed in the bill of materials.
• Manufacturing of the bottom bearing shaft and flange from a single solid piece of EN19 material, conforming to the attached structural references.
• Provision of assemblies to meet the detailed technical drawings and specifications, including surface treatments (e.g., Jotamastic 90 coating in black).

The delivery must be in accordance with the specified technical standards, quality requirements, and applicable regulations within the Johannesburg Water project scope.

Technical Requirements

• The bearings must be complete sets as per drawing NO PAZ-B 100-001, with the bottom bearing shaft and flange manufactured from a single solid piece of hardened EN19 material.
• All components must meet the specified dimensions, material specifications, and structural integrity requirements.
• The assembled bearings should be coated with Jotamastic 90 to a dry film thickness of 420 microns, with the final colour being black.
• Manufacturing tolerances and assembly standards must comply with the approved general arrangement drawings and engineering specifications.
• All applicable taxes and duties must be included in the total quotation, and prices must be exclusive of VAT.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in manufacturing high-precision mechanical components from EN19 steel, including machining, welding, and surface treatment.
• Experience in assembling complex bearing assemblies according to detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of coating application processes, specifically applying Jotamastic 90 coating to specified thicknesses.
• Ability to interpret and adhere to engineering drawings, structural references, and quality standards.
• Compliance with safety, quality assurance, and environmental standards relevant to manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Capability to provide all necessary documentation, including certificates of compliance, manufacturing process details, and quality assurance reports.
